Meet No Excuse For Abuse
My social impact initiative, No Excuse For Abuse promotes child abuse awareness and prevention. I have broken down my initiative into three parts: educate, advocate, and celebrate to better bring awareness to the growing number of abuse cases and aiming to prevent that number from growing! As you scroll down, you will be able to see a better break down of the three parts of our mission.
Educate
Education is the most crucial step to ending and preventing child abuse. It is difficult for people to wrap their minds around the abuse of a child. One of the key steps to ending child abuse is to educate and empower children to come talk to a trusted adult when abuse is occurring. As a titleholder I will educate the state on the warning signs of child abuse and encourage individuals who work around children to participate in the darkness to light stewards of children child abuse prevention training. I will also push for education to children through a program called play it safe which promotes online safety. Through the training that is offered for free by the local children’s advocacy centers we will educate and empower our state on how to create a better future for our children.
School programs include: Bella on the Bayou, Play it Safe, & Partners in Prevention.

Advocate
The second pillar of No Excuse for Abuse is advocacy; having partnered with a vast number of organizations to promote the importance of training, advocacy centers, CASA/Guardian ad Litems, and other community resources that protect children as well as help maintain healthy families.
Celebrate
April is nationally recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month and since our creation in 2020 we have promoted a month long celebrating using our three pillars. This celebration includes creating partnerships with local businesses and organizations to paint the town blue.
